Research Proposal: The International Drug Trade

I have chose to research what is known as the “War on Drugs,” or in other words, the government attempts to minimize the role of illegal drugs in society. This will include the study of the drug trade and what that entails, along with proposed government attempts to reduce and eliminate this from society. The failures of past attempts to control drug trafficking will be examined, as well as analyzed for reasons why. It is often stated that there is corruption within the government, concerning illegal drug trafficking. This issue will be further looked upon and analyzed to see why, despite government efforts, the drug trade is still prominent in society. Through these analyizing process, new ideas will arise as well as discussion on this immediate problem in the world.
